My name is Maria Hernandez Mills. I was born in Cuba and came to the US in 1962, at the age of 10, as a Pedro Pan child. I've lived in Pahokee, Florida, since 1963, and I’ve had a little training with local artist Donald Neal and Florida Watercolorist Bunny Cope, but I am mostly self-taught. My favorite subject is the seashore; the ocean, its beaches and the treasures they hold.
